Just got back from The Lion King. I went with my family to see it this evening.
It was a great show.
Unfortunately there is something about the demographic that it attracts that just rubs me up the wrong way.
I got the feeling that I was sitting in a room full of greedy, wanna-be, exclusive, and cruel middle class. So clean, and conservative, and false.
It's interesting that I felt that way. I tried to pretend for a minute that I was sitting in a room full of respectable, hard-working, and ethical people, but I couldn't pull off the self-delusion for very long.
I fear that I may have some sort of chip on my shoulder.
I've been meaning to ask you what you thought of the show (ignoring the demographics of the audience for a moment). I believe it will be in my neck of the wood this fall.
The show was great.
The props and the music were really awesome.
Unfortunately I think I was in a bit of a shoddy mood..
