Mental note: Gambling is bad. OK.
( but worse is WOW. We must never, ever play that again. No precious. We must not. )
/me must never, ever play that again. No precious.
Where are you anyway? My home PC was out of commission for a couple days -- next thing I know, I'm chanop again!
Sorry, I had to frag my fedora box (doom.jj5.net) that had my irc client on it the other day (so that I could install debian and svn, low on hardware here atm I'm afraid).
Been curled up in the corner reading today (Death March).
I installed WinME (yeah, I know) on an old notebook here and mIRC. I've got it set up, the I had a guest and the notebook got switched off and moved out of the way. I've only had it installed like that for two days, but it has some issues (I installed ME because that was the easiest, I had mepis on there, but there is some sort of hardware failure, that causing things to fuckout a bit, so I just used the 'recovery cd' to get a basic os back up quickly).
Anyway, the notebook is prone to locking up, and hybernating, and all manner of other 'disconnecting' things at the moment. Sometimes it seems like it's still connected (i.e. the screen has mIRC rendered on it) but in fact the whole machine has been locked up (probably for hours).
That's the best I can do atm though.
So flat out.
