I've been listening to the Tracy Chapman Collection today. She has so many good songs, like Fast Car, Baby Can I Hold You, Give Me One Reason and Talkin' Bout A Revolution that I've known and loved for ages. These songs take me back to standing around in the kitchen in Leura chopping tomatoes on some idle Wednesday afternoon preparing for the evenings service, or sitting around drinking beer in the sun with my mates in Blackheath. One of the chefs had her debut album, and we used to listen to it all the time.
But I just heard the track All That You Have Is Your Soul for the first time today. I think this is a great song.
Hunger only for a world of truth.
