Things that piss me off about the USA

Since it's all 'politics' these days, here's a list of things that come to mind that piss me off about the USA domestic policies and attitudes:

All signs that they are not actually interested in being a progressive nation (except for the bits that just piss me off, which aren't signs of anything).

The entire country oozes a NIH, jingoistic mentality, that can't be perceived as anything less than baseless arrogance.

I'd like to see some sincere leadership from this nation; it's been missing for a very long time. I'm sure you're capable of it, but I don't see it. I see greed.

I wouldn't really give a shit what the yanks did on their own turf, except if it happens there, it ends up happening here, and I don't like that. American media and pop culture infects attitudes in my country; we rely on American leadership to not corrupt our own.

(Hey, Rick. You said you wanted to know. :P)

John.

I do not find in our particular superstition of Christianity one redeeming feature... Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burned, tortured, fined and imprisoned. What has been the effect of this coercion? To make half the world fools and half hypocrites; to support roguery and error all over the world. -- Thomas Jefferson
