Things you can't do:

You can't appear in public unless you cover yourself in 'appropriate' attire, or behave in an 'appropriate' manner. You can not induce a wide range of substances. You can't participate in certain activities until you are a certain age. There are certain sounds and gestures that are prohibited, further restricting your ability to communicate. You can not engage in trade of many goods or services without a license. You can not trade without accounting for your revenue. You are not free to enter, or participate in many places or forums anonymously or without fear of persecution or exclusion. You don't have the right to communicate privately, we're allowed to listen to you if we want. You can not arbitrarily spend time in public space. You can not enter private space. You can't build, make or grow things, unless we say you can. You can not initiate change, although we'll let you pretend you can, go ahead, protest, just do it over there, or we'll shoot you. You don't have the right to speak, you don't have the right to remain silent, and it's illegal for you to attempt to kill yourself. You are not entitled to information; you can't know the truth.

Things you can do:

You can suck on it. Fucker. If you don't like it, we'll take all your resources off you. If you don't like that, we'll lock you up. If you don't like that, someone will kill you, or we'll wait for you to kill yourself, either directly or through poor health. Either way, you're fucked. Here, give me one hundred bucks, and you can have this xbox, it'll help you forget.

A slave has the power of choice. They can choose to do what they're told, or suffer the consequences.

I think that information should be free. I think that individuals should have access to equal opportunity to achieve. I think individuals should be free to engage in a wider variety of non-violent or constructive activities. If our present socio-economic models can't cope with the implications of that, I think they should change.

John.

The majority is always wrong. -- Mark Twain.

We're not here because we're free; we're here because we're not free. -- Agent Smith.

You were right Smith. You were always right. -- Neo.
