Like everyone, I've been using WinZip since I can remember.
I've purchased it at least three times in my life.
The last time I explicitly remember buying it was about 3 years ago.
Not long after I'd purchased it (like days) stuff happened, and my computers got messed up or neglected or something, and (long story short) I ended up losing the registration code.
Since I had purchased it, when I re-installed it, I didn't bother entering the code, and had been 'meaning' to do it for days, then weeks, then months, then years... eventually, one day, I decided that I should find my registration code.
So I turned every single backup, hard drive, CD, floppy disk, e-mail archive, etc. that I could lay my hands on, upside down, but couldn't find it.
Blah, blah.. this is hopeless...
What I'm trying to say is that I re-registered with WinZip the other day, was issued a new code (for a few bucks) and now I don't get that “god damn fucking annoying dialog box that has been annoying the shit out of me for years” anymore. I didn't realise how much it pissed me off until it was gone.
Life is good.
I hate nag ware.
