Revision as of 09:03, 2 November 2011

These are my notes from Sebastian Thrun and Peter Norvig's AI class. A course on Artificial Intelligence.

Course undertaken October to December 2011. Here goes nothing. :P

Welcome

Hi there. Recently this wiki was advertised on the aiqus forum, and there are quite a few people clicking through to check it out. That's cool, thanks for swinging by. This is kind of a personal wiki where I keep my university notes. I'm happy for it to be public so if there's something on here that's useful to you, that's great and you're welcome here. Feel free to fix up any of my typos for me, or to talk on any of the talk pages. The content will be updated as I find time. I'm focusing on the ai-class pretty much full-time over the next few months, so I really won't have any excuse for not ultimately finishing these notes. I hope at the end of the course to have a valuable asset here that makes the coursework accessible in perpetuity.

You will find various links to pages on this wiki and to other places on the internet here. To explain my approach to note taking: basically I'm transcribing the lectures one-by-one and taking screenshots of salient parts. My transcriptions are provided underneath an embedded version of the youtube video, and screenshots are embedded within the transcriptions. For all the quizzes I embed the answer video below the quiz and transcribe those as well. You will find an individual page for the transcription of each unit in the lecture notes section below. In addition to transcribing and consolidating the video lectures, I have a summary on the overview page, in which I attempt to summarise the entire course in point form, with links back to the lectures that go into more detail.

When you have a look around you might notice that not everything is complete yet. That's because this is a work in progress. Please be patient with me, it takes a long time to work through the course material and make it available in this form. I started the ML class too, but have had to stop doing that as it is too much work for me to do both courses. I'm pretty committed to finishing this AI class though.

If you'd like to get in contact with me about anything please send me an email to jj5@jj5.net and assuming your message doesn't get gobbled by my spam filter I'll do what I can to get back to you. Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope there is something here that is useful to you.
